Amprobe R-115S Remcon Relay Switch

  • Three-wire relay with low-voltage control circuits for controlling momentary switches
  • Independent relay can be controlled by multiple switches and will not interfere with operation of other relays in a multiple relay system
  • Built-in transformer eliminates need for separate step-down transformers
  • Unit shuts down when overheated and does not burn out when switch legs are shorted
  • Controls power sources with alternating current (AC) voltage from 105 to 125 volts (V) at a frequency of 60 hertz (Hz)

The Amprobe R-115S Remcon three-wire relay switch uses a low-voltage control circuit to turn on or off the flow of alternating current (AC) to momentary switches in commercial and home applications. It is an Independent relay that can be controlled by multiple switches and will not interfere with the operation of other relays in a multiple relay system. The unit has a built-in transformer that eliminates the need to wire to a separate step-down transformer. The relay automatically shuts down when the unit overheats and will not burn out if the switch legs are shorted. The relay can control power sources with AC voltage from 105 to 125 volts (V) at a frequency of 60 hertz (Hz). It has a maximum AC current load of 6.5 amp and a 1/4 horsepower maximum motor load at 120V. For switching the relay on or off, the maximum direct current (DC) load is 10 microamp, and the maximum DC voltage load is 10V. The Amprobe Remcon R-115S is an Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listed device.

Relay switches (also called an electrical relay or an electrical relay switch) use a small amount of power to control a larger source of power connected to electrical devices such as car motors, computers, and lighting installations. A basic relay switch has a control circuit with an electromagnetic coil and a load circuit with contacts and a lever. When current flows into the relay switch, it moves through the coil and a magnetic field is created, which causes the lever in the load circuit to move between contacts. In a normally open (NO) relay switch, when power is supplied to the relay, the load circuit is closed and the power source connected to the relay is turned on. In a normally closed (NC) relay switch, when power is supplied to the relay, the load circuit is open and the power source connected to the relay is turned off. In other types of relay switches, non-moving parts such as transistors or semiconductors can be used as the control circuit to operate the switching mechanism. Relay switches can be controlled with an external switch, such as a light switch, or they can be connected to an automatically switched power source, such as a car ignition. One relay can operate multiple switches, and multiple relays can be operated with a single switch, with each relay operating independently from the other relays in the system.

Amprobe manufactures electrical testing equipment for commercial, industrial, and home use. The company was founded in 1948 and is headquartered in Everett, WA.

MarkS25 asked How do you test the starter clutch on a motorbike?

once the bike has started, cant i just use a multimeter, connect one end to the earth return and one where the starter plugs into the relay box and se if it produces a voltage i.e. the engine constantly turning the starter motor acting like a generator? P.S. its a derbi GPR 125, i cannot remove any of the crank case cover forms part of the magneto flywheel, some holds some magnets in place or something like that.

And got the following answer:

I believe that is possible, although, I have never heard of anyone doing that. Usually if the starter clutch doesn't disengage you can hear the difference. You did not mention the year, make, and model of your bike which would have been helpful. With most bikes the removal of just one engine cover will allow you to see the starter clutch gear. If you turn the crankshaft with a wrench (in it normal running direction) the starter gear should not move.

The how to test a relay with a multimeter work exceptionally effectively with diverse applications which can be certain to power distribution and protection. The relays come with wide adjustment ranges using a scale that may be easy to study either in 3 or four digits according to the model. These how to test a relay with a multimeter support in increasing the flexibility with the applications, cut down the all round power and upkeep charges. You can find relays that are utilised for general purposes which are available in trusted designs with swift replacement possibilities. And you will discover models which might be applied for industrial applications and heavier duty applications that function on significant loads. These merchandise are made to meet the lifetime industrial handle wants of your applications.
Their most recent items will be the Time counter, Timer Delay, how to test a relay with a multimeter, Fast Connect Couplings, Electronic Motor Couplings, Aluminum Couplings, Morse Couplings and several other people. The web page delivers a detailed description of each and every model in different categories of how to test a relay with a multimeter couplings and sensors. These goods are particularly helpful for high-risk applications. The how to test a relay with a multimeter are also available with attributes like several timing ranges and functions. The organization is presently seeking agents and dealers who can promote and sell their factory created items. They’re normally on a lookout for establishing new and more reputable products based on the requires and specifications from the sector.
